Clients may also bring an existing domain. You can point its nameservers, add the DNS records we provide, or grant administrator or delegated access if your registrar supports it. You never need to send a shared account password.
From your business details to a live website

- Review the build. We code the site and give you a temporary URL. You can check the pages and request changes before publication.
- Approve the launch. Once you approve the website, it is published on your domain and billing begins.
Typical delivery is within five days. The timeframe can extend when business details, approvals, domain access, or other client materials arrive later.

Monthly service or a fixed-price code purchase
The $297 monthly plan lowers the initial cost because it has no website build fee. The website design does not transfer to the client as part of the monthly service. If you later want the design ported elsewhere, you may request a separate quote.
A one-off custom website is also available for a project-specific fixed price. After final payment, the complete website code belongs to you, and you may take it to another provider. Hosting and website care are quoted separately for a fixed-price purchase.
Monthly plan details
When does billing start?
Billing starts when the website is published live after your approval. The first charge is prorated for the number of days remaining in that calendar month. Service is billed in advance after that.
How does cancellation work?
Cancellation requires at least five business days notice before the end of the month. The website remains online through the paid month and for an additional five-day grace period.
Do I own the domain?
If Lake County Web Design registers a domain for you, it is yours to keep after three months of service. The three-month domain condition is separate from the cancellation policy and is not a minimum service commitment. Existing domains remain yours and do not need to be transferred to us.
Can I add a blog?
Yes. Clients can create and publish their own posts. Optional monthly services are available if you want us to format supplied posts or write posts for your approval. See blog services and prices.
